Another faction of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zamfara State Chapter, led by Malam Shehu Maishanu Gulubba has strongly condemnd in the strongest terms, the barbaric and heinous attack reportedly carried out by unknown bandits in Kasuwar Daji area of Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, which resulted in the killing of scores of innocent citizens and the kidnapping of over 70 people.
The State ADC faction considered the latest attack a deeply disturbing and unacceptable act of violence against innocent and defenceless members of our communities.
The continued killing and kidnappings of citizens is a grave threat to peace, security and the socio-economic wellbeing of the people of Zamfara State.
This was contained in a statement issued by the factional ADC State publicity secretary, Comrade Ana’s Haidara Kaura, and made available to newsmen in 2 the State capital.
According to the statement, the party called for an immediate and coordinated search-and-rescue operation by the relevant security agencies to locate and secure the safe release of all those kidnapped in the attack.
“We urge the security agencies to deploy all necessary resources, intelligence and operational capabilities to ensure that the kidnapped victims are rescued safely and reunited with their families”, he added.
“The ADC also calls on the Federal, State and Local Governments to brace up to their constitutional and moral responsibilities of protecting the lives and property of citizens”
“We urge the government at all levels to strengthen security operations, improve intelligence gathering, enhance community-based security mechanisms and take decisive action against the criminal elements terrorising innocent citizens across Zamfara State”
The statement noted that, the State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Malam Shehu Maishanu Gulubba, extended the party’s deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic incident, as well as to the people of Kasuwar Daji and the entire Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.
He said that the State Chairman has also expressed solidarity with the families of those who have been kidnapped and prayed for the safe and speedy return of their loved ones, assured the affected communities that the ADC stands with them in this difficult and painful moment.
“The ADC Zamfara State Chapter calls on all citizens to remain vigilant and continue to support lawful efforts aimed at restoring peace and security across the state. The party remains committed to advocating for good governance, responsible leadership and the protection of the fundamental rights and security of every citizen”
