The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) heartily congratulates the South West Zone of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on the successful conclusion of its Retreat, which brought together media professionals across the zone to reflect, strategize, and strengthen the Union.
The National Leadership of NAWOJ commends the South West Council of the NUJ for this laudable initiative, which underscores the importance of continuous capacity building, institutional strengthening, unity, and inclusiveness within the journalism profession.
We are particularly delighted that NAWOJ was accorded due recognition and actively carried along throughout the retreat. This gesture reflects the enduring partnership between the NUJ and NAWOJ and reaffirms our shared commitment to advancing the welfare, professionalism, and collective interests of journalists in Nigeria.
NAWOJ expresses its profound appreciation to the National President of the NUJ, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya, the Deputy National President, Comrade Abimbola Oyetunde, the South West Zonal Leadership, the Chairmen of the six State Councils, and all officials whose dedication and support continue to strengthen the relationship between our two organizations. Your unwavering belief in the invaluable contributions of women journalists to the media landscape is deeply appreciated.
