The President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, has officially withdrawn from the race for the Taraba Central Senatorial District seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Bodejo, who recently visited Taraba State to declare his intention to contest the Senate seat, was earlier reportedly whisked away from the state by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) before later being transferred to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Announcing the decision on Sunday through the Director-General of his campaign council, Alhaji Adamu Isa, Bodejo declared his full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Agbu Kefas, and Senator Haruna Manu in their respective political ambitions ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to Isa, Bodejo has directed all his supporters across Taraba Central Senatorial District to rally behind the trio to enable them continue delivering democratic dividends to the people of Taraba State and Nigeria as a whole.
He explained that Bodejo’s senatorial ambition was never intended to antagonise anyone but was driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of Taraba Central Senatorial District.
Isa further noted that Governor Kefas and Senator Manu had already embarked on programmes and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people, adding that they deserved the continued support of the electorate.(The Guardian)
