2 Kidnappers linked to abduction of NSUK Students in Nasarawa State Arrested

Two suspected kidnappers linked to the abduction of students of the Faculty of Engineering, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Gudi Campus by personnel of the State Police Command.

This followed sustained intelligence-led operations and coordinated tactical efforts by operatives of the Command.

A statement by the Command’s public relations officer SP Rahman Nansel identifies the

suspects as Abdullahi Yeyi Haro, alleged leader of the kidnapping syndicate, and one Basiru Abdullahi, both from Gudi.

The statement confirms that the abducted students have been safely released and reunited with their families as they are currently receiving medical attention.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed commended the operatives involved in the operation for their professionalism, resilience, and commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents across the State.

He reiterated the Command’s determination to rid the State of all forms of criminality, particularly kidnapping.

The Commissioner of Police further assured members of the public that investigations are ongoing with a view to arresting other fleeing members of the syndicate and bringing all those involved in the crime to justice.

6 NSUK Students and one unidentified person were on 6 May, 2026 reportedly abducted in Gudi, Nasarawa State by unknown gunmen.
