Adamawa Govt Calls for Expanded FAO Training as 20 Veterinary Paraprofessionals Graduate

The Adamawa Government through the State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has advocated for the expansion of the Food and Agriculture Organization training

to cover the state.

Speaking in her office, when the FAO delegation visited her, Farauta

Saluted the interventions of the organisation, the state, which has continued to positively impact the citizens.

According to her, FAO programmes align with the human capital development of the present administration, especially in agriculture and other sectors.

The deputy governor stressed that malnutrition would be addressed through engaging women in agricultural activities.

Earlier, Nigeria represented, and the leader of the FAO delegation, Dr. Hussaini Gadain, said the graduands were trained in poultry production, animal husbandry, and cattle fattening.

Gadain expressed gratitude to the government of Adamawa for its support, saying the beneficiaries’ capacity-building training was drawn from across the state.

He said the successes recorded, including fertilizer distribution, seeds, training on new agricultural practices among others.

Dr. Gadain noted that their intervention is complementary to people-centric government programs.(Sahel Reporters News)
