The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has called on beneficiaries of its programmes and members of the public to rely solely on its verified communication platforms for accurate and up-to-date information.
The Commission emphasized the need for vigilance amid the circulation of unverified reports, noting that all official announcements regarding its activities, interventions, and programmes are disseminated through authorized channels.
In a statement issued by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Seledi Thompson-Wakama, the Commission urged stakeholders to always cross-check information on its official website and social media platforms.
“All official communications are channelled through our verified information platforms. We therefore urge beneficiaries of our programmes and members of the public to always confirm information via the NDDC’s official website (www.nddc.gov.ng) and its recognized social media handles,” the statement read.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery across the Niger Delta region. It also warned against the spread of misinformation, which it said could mislead beneficiaries and undermine ongoing development efforts.
NDDC assured the public that it would continue to provide timely and credible information through its official platforms, while encouraging citizens to report suspicious or misleading content to the appropriate authorities.(Niger Delta Herald?
