The Bomadi Local Government Council intends to spend a total of #21.725,974,872.29b. ( Twenty-One Billion, Seven Hundred and Twenty-Five Million , Nine Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand, Eight Hundred and Seventy Two Naira, Twenty Nine Kobo), for its services during the 2026 Fiscal year.
Presenting the 2026 fiscal year budget estimates to the Bomadi Local Government Legislative Arm at the Legislative Complex in Bomadi, the local government headquarters, the Executive Chairman , Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye , outlined key priority areas designed to accelerate development , and improve the welfare of the people of Bomadi Local Government Area.
Christened “The Budget of Transformation”, Hon Andaye who said his administration has improved on “our transformational journey towards the economic development of Bomadi Local Government Area, told the Lawmakers that the 2026 fiscal plan reflects his commitment towards driving sustainable growth, responsible governance, and policies that directly address the needs of the people.
The 2026 budget estimates, according to Hon Andaye , represents a 14.57% decrease from the 2025 budget of #24, 892,267,999,09 ( Twenty Four Billion , Eight Hundred and Ninety Two Million , Two Hundred and Sixty Seven Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety Nine Naira , Nine Kobo).
Of this sum, #13,206,000,000 ( Thirteen Billion , Two Hundred and Six Million naira), representing 60.78%, was allocated for capital expenditure , while #8,519,974,872,29 ( Eight Billion , Five Hundred and Nineteen Million, Nine Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand, Eight Hundred and Seventy Two Naira, Twenty Nine Kobo) representing 39.22% of the total budget sum , was earmarked for Recurrent expenditure.
The Council Boss , while disclosing that strong emphasis on critical sectors that will drive development across the local government will be vigorously pursued, highlighted the priority areas in the 2026 budget estimates, to include:
Infrastructure development , Social welfare and community development , Health sector improvement , Education development , Security and Council resolutions, among other key priority areas.
