Officials of Katsina Football Academy, alongside international football scouts, State Sports Commissioner have presented a trophy and medals won by seven academy players who participated in the IberCup tournament in Portugal to Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda.
The delegation comprised FIFA-licensed agent and Chief Scout of All Conti Sports Management, Aljosa Alibegovic, and Head of MVP Sports Management Agency, Lagos, Mr Datti Umar Yusuf.
The presentation was part of the academy’s commitment to appreciating the governor’s support and contributions towards the development of sports in the state.
Receiving the trophy, Governor Radda expressed appreciation to the officials of the state-owned academy and the scouts, who are currently in Katsina to identify talented players for football trials in Europe.
Similarly, the delegation also visited the office of the State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Engineer Surajo Yazeed Abukur, to present him with the trophy.
The visit underscores ongoing efforts to promote grassroots football development and create international opportunities for young football talents in Katsina State.( KATSINA SWAN.)
