The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has called on former Bayasa State Governor, Timmy Prey, Silva, who has been declared wanted over an alleged $14.86 million fraud, to make himself available for questioning.
Commission spokesman, Dele Oyele, made the appeal while reacting to allegations by Xavier that the Anti-Graft Agency had conducted itself more as an organ of the All-Progressive Congress than as an institution of the state.
Xavier, who announced his resignation from the APC on Monday, said he had forwarded a copy of his resignation letter to the EFCC, accusing the Commission of acting as an organ of the ruling party.
"$14.86 million! That's not pocket change. If the EFCC has evidence, Prey should stop hiding and face the music. Enough of this running!"
